lyrics

I was wandering through the Twilight Zone
Feeling lost and empty and so all alone
I wondered why I'd ever set out to roam
Wanted to turn around and just go home
But then from out of nowhere I heard this sound
Calling to me from deep within this town
I followed to its source just like a bird
A sound like nothing else I'd ever heard

From dense rainforests the sounds of drums
A voice cried out imploring me to come
Then someone offered me a cup of tea
One sip brought on a new found clarity
And in the clearing I looked and glanced
Beautiful locals doing a native dance
They came up to me and I felt a rush when they said
"Come join us now, you look like one of us"

I asked no questions, I just took my place
And we all danced ourselves right into outer space
It wasn't long till I forgot myself
And found that I no longer felt stuck on a shelf
It didn't matter where I was at all
For these folks made me feel like ten feet tall
Could not come down cuz I was eight miles high
And then I understood the reasons why
